Joining is for everyone! It’s fast and easy, with affordable payment options available.
At GreenStar, membership is ownership, and joining the Co-op makes you both a member and an owner. Becoming a Co-op Owner is a great way to join in purpose with others by belonging to a cooperative business that is creating positive change both locally and globally! As a member, you can feel confident that your membership ensures your Co-op remains strong and vibrant. Your participation enables us to serve our members and honor our responsibility for the sustainable development of our community. Joining the Co-op expresses your commitment to an equitable, robust, and vital local economy.
Membership Conditions:
- Membership is for one individual 18 years or older, to be used only by the individual named on the membership.
- GreenStar does not have household or family memberships. Spouses, partners, and housemates must have their own individual membership.
- Organizational Co-op Memberships are available for locally-owned businesses, cooperatives, nonprofits, and school groups. Contact membership@greenstar.coop for details.
Equity:
A Full Equity share is $90, which you can pay all at once, or in $10 annual installments. Paid-in equity is fully refundable, per the provisions outlined in the Bylaws.
*Equity Support: Individuals with low income may qualify for FLOWER, which is our food access discount for income-eligible individuals. If you have never been a GreenStar Member-Owner, GreenStar’s Solidarity Fund will make your initial equity payment.
How to Join:
- Download a Printable New Member Form
- Complete your form and bring it with you to any GreenStar location to make your first equity payment and establish your membership!*
- Your membership savings will begin immediately!
