EasyPay is a prepaid account program for GreenStar members that works like a gift card – but you don’t need a card.
Why EasyPay?
It keeps more money in our community!
Ninety percent of the transactions at the register involve debit and credit cards. Depending on the kind of card, GreenStar pays 2 to 4 percent of the transaction total to the bank for each and every swipe of a card. In 2025 this amounted to the Co-op paying nearly $500,000 in credit and debit card fees alone! That’s a significant cost to the co-op just to provide the ability for customers to pay with a card.
EasyPay is one more way we can work cooperatively to reduce economic leakage from our community. Every dime the Co-op spends on credit cards fees flows out of the local economy and straight into the hands of big banks and credit card companies. By using EasyPay, you can help significantly reduce those fees, and keep more money local.
Using a check to fund EasyPay is the best way to help reduce fees, but no matter how you add funds, using your EasyPay will help keep more money in our local economy and provide a wallet-free purchase experience at the register!

It’s only available to GreenStar members. So if you haven’t already joined, you might want to sign up to become a Co-op member-owner right now.
Save a tree with e-receipts!
You can review your receipts online by logging into the Member Center and browsing to the My Purchases block. You can also choose to have receipts emailed to you automatically — just click on the Email Receipt Preferences button. But we’ll always ask if you want an actual paper receipt when you make a purchase.
The Easypay Secret: No Wallet? No Problem!
EasyPay is a prepaid account program. Every member has one. To use it, just fund it! To fund it, create a personal passcode in the Online Member Center! EasyPay works like a gift card — but you don’t need a card. Once you’ve set your passcode and added funds to your EasyPay account, just use your membership at the register and tell the cashier you’d like to pay with EasyPay. It’s that, well, Easy!
You can add money to your EasyPay account at any register or through the Online Member Center, at any time!
New to the Member Center?
Here’s How to Access Your Online Member Center Account:
- IMPORTANT! Verify Your Email Address
You can check with a cashier at any register to ensure we have the correct email address for you. If you would like to change your email address, please notify the cashier. - Go online to: membercenter.greenstar.coop
- Enter your username and password
All GreenStar members received an email with their username and temporary password for their Online Member Center account. If you are not able to find this email, click “Find it” next to “Forgot Your Password?” An email containing your username and password will be sent to the email address we have on file for you.
