General Information
GreenStar features the work of local artists at all three store locations. Accepted artists exhibit work for 2 consecutive months. Artwork should complement the Co-op atmosphere (i.e. artwork that is family-friendly and won’t offend people who are eating for shopping.) Various media is accepted including painting, photography, mixed-media, printmaking, fiber arts, and more.
GreenStar provides the exhibit space and use of the STAS mini-rail hanging system at no cost and takes no commission for sales.
The artist provides ready-to-hang artwork for two consecutive months, is responsible for hanging and removing artwork, and independently coordinates all sales with buyers.
Acceptance Process
Gallery exhibits are scheduled in November for the next full year. Local artists must submit an application and sample images to be considered for an exhibit.
GreenStar Gigs
Join us for live music, food, drinks, and fun from 6:30 – 8 PM on second Tuesdays, June – September. The community is welcome to attend these FREE events at GreenStar’s Cascadilla St. store. Enjoy our outdoor picnic tables or bring a picnic blanket or camp chair to sit on the lawn. Enjoy offerings from local food entrepreneurs, members of Shared Kitchen Ithaca, or check out GreenStar’s Grab & Go cases for hot items, salads, bowls, premade sandwiches, sushi, and more.
