GreenStar Council News for July 2025

Highlights from the July Council Meeting

At its July regular meeting, Council received information about Zero Waste Ithaca, GreenStar’s July Partners for Change recipient and received the General Manager’s Monthly Report.

Council also approved the following proposals:

• Policy C.7 – Council Committees Monitoring Results (part 2 of 2)
• Amendments to the Membership Termination and Appeals to Council Procedure, per the 2024 New Bylaws Approval
• Policy B.3 – Asset Protection Monitoring Report
• Policy B.1 – Financial Condition Monitoring Report 

Additionally, Council reviewed the following New Business items:

• Draft Proposal to schedule Greenstar’s Annual Meeting
• Draft Policy A – Ends Monitoring Report
• Draft 2024 Annual Audit Report
• Draft Proposal to Distribute Investment Dividends and Patronage Rebates
• Draft Policy and Procedure Updates per the 2024 New Bylaws Approval
  • Amendments to Policy C.7 – Council Committees
  • Amendments to Policy C.8 – Council Investment & Stipends 
  • Amendments to Policy B.4 – Membership Rights & Responsibilities
