GreenStar Council News for May 2025

Highlights from the May Council Meeting

At its May regular meeting, Council received information about Historic Ithaca, GreenStar’s May Partners for Change recipient and received the General Manager’s Monthly Report.

Council approved the following proposals:

• B.2 Planning and Budgeting Policy Monitoring Report
• C.5 Council Code of Conduct Policy Monitoring Results 
• Amendments to policies and procedures to align with our newly approved bylaws: 
  • Amend Policy C.6 – Council Officers and Approve C.6 Policy Monitoring Results 
  • Amend Council Newsletter Submissions 
  • Amend Council Procedure: Member Petitions
  • Amend Policy C.4 Council Meetings 

Council reviewed the following New Business items:

• Draft Proposals to Approve Policy and Procedure Updates per the 2024 New Bylaws Approval
  • Amend Officer Elections Procedure
  • Amend Membership Termination and Appeals to Council Procedure

Council also held a discussion in Executive Session regarding Conflicts of Interest and the role of GreenStar Staff Members on Council.
