GreenStar Council News for November 2024
Bylaws Vote and Election Results
Thank you to everyone who contributed to shaping the Fresh Start Bylaws. We’re thrilled to announce that the bylaws have passed with an overwhelming majority—839 votes in favor and 51 against. The new bylaws will take effect at the start of the new Council year on January 12, 2024.
We also extend our congratulations to our newly elected Council members, who will each serve a three-year term. A warm welcome to Kristin Moore and Josh Adams as they join the Council for the first time, and congratulations to RJ Isley and Michael Buffett on their re-election. We look forward to your continued dedication and service!
Highlights from the November Council Meeting
At its November regular meeting, Council received information about The Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ Learning Project GreenStar’s November Partners for Change recipient and received the General Manager’s Monthly Report.
Council approved the following proposals:
- Certify 2024 Election Results
- 2025 Council Budget
- B.7 Communications to Council Policy Monitoring
- C.3 Council Work Plan Policy Monitoring
Council reviewed the following New Business items:
- 2025 Council Training Schedule
- B.8 Logistical Support Policy Monitoring
- 2025 Draft Operating Budget

From 6:15 – 6:30 PM GreenStar members are invited to join Council members for an opportunity to engage in conversation. This 15 minute period is an “open-mic” format and will be recurring – taking place ahead of the GreenStar Council meeting every second Tuesday of the month.
