How to Vote

There are four open Council seats. GreenStar Members may vote for up to a total of four Council Candidates. The candidates are:

• Kaiya Bercow
• Pamela Coleman
• Diane Hillmann (incumbent)
• Patrick Sewell (incumbent)

The three nominations with the most votes will fill 3-year terms. The nominee with the fewest votes will fill a 2-year term. Members may also select up to 10 nominees for GreenStar’s 2027 Partners for Change.

Voting Instructions:

1. Make sure you’re eligible to vote. Every vote must be a GreenStar member in good standing (i.e. equity payment must be up to date). You can view a recent receipt and if the renewal date displayed below your name is 10/31/26 or earlier, you may be need to make an equity payment before 10/31/2026. If it is a later date, or blank, you are eligible to vote.

2. Choose to Vote Online

You will receive your unique voting ballot email from Simply Voting on October 1, 2026 to the email address we have on file for your membership. You may vote using this ballot. You may also login to your Online Member Center account and access your unique ballot under “My Elections”.

3. OR Choose to Vote Via Paper Ballot Paper ballots are available to print and complete or in-store. You may mail your ballot to GreenStar Food Co+op, 770 Cascadilla St., Ithaca, NY 14850 or place your ballot into a designated ballot box at any of our three store locations (at the Customer Service Desk in our Cascadilla store). If submitting in-store, please write legibly on the outside of the envelope the following information:

• The date you cast your ballot
• Your Member Number
• Your First and Last Name
• Your Signature

Envelopes will be discarded before ballots are examined to protect confidentiality.

Voting Ends October 31, 2026. If a member casts more than one paper ballot, the ballots are invalidated. If a member casts an electronic and paper ballot, the paper ballot is invalidated and electronic ballot is counted.

2026 Annual Membership Meeting

GreenStar Food Co+op members and guests are invited to attend the Co-op’s 2026 Annual Member Meeting at the Ithaca Farmers Market.
